About Us

Monthly Humanitarian Crisis News from Sutherland Secondary

The Humanitarian Crisis Newspaper is run by a group of students in Sutherland Secondary, who are interested in raising awareness of Humanitarian Crisis all over the world. Every month, we will be releasing a newspaper with events that everyone should be aware of, to encourage people to take action to help the victims of these crises.

The HCC Newsletter is written by our writers, who are currently all in grade 10 and 11. We choose our topics and get the confirmation of the club before proceeding to write an article. After the article is done, our editors will edit and add more details to the articles, then compile it into one newsletter.

We post all our articles on our website and post the links on our social media! Subscribe to the website and follow us at :

“Journalism can never be silent: That is its greatest virtue and its greatest fault. It must speak, and speak immediately, while the echoes of wonder, the claims of triumph and the signs of horror are still in the air.”
