About Us

Monthly Humanitarian Crisis News from Sutherland Secondary

The Humanitarian Crisis Newspaper is run by a group of students in Sutherland Secondary, who are interested in raising awareness of Humanitarian Crisis all over the world. Every month, we will be releasing a newspaper with events that everyone should be aware of, to encourage people to take action to help the victims of these crises.

We will be publishing a newsletter every month and do various types of fundraising for the victims of the Rohingya crisis, a genocidal massacre that started in Myanmar, 2015. The Rohingya crisis left more than 10,000 dead and forced more than 140,000 people to flee from their native land, West of Myanmar. They are currently living in refugee camps in neighbouring countries, where their living situations are poor. The Myanmar government is currently not taking responsibility and refuses it to acknowledge that the Rohingya crisis is ethnic cleansing and genocidal.

We will be posting our fundraising events, our articles on our website and our social media! Follow us at :
